Mae

Retired 2026

Mae, our cherished keeper from Max and Gracie, is a stunning girl with a soft white coat reminiscent of her mother, beautifully complemented by Max’s gorgeous feathering and her extraordinary tail. She has earned excellent health clearances and carries herself with a playful, affectionate, and steady nature that makes her truly endearing.

Mae is a joyful companion—whether she’s engaging in a game of ball, initiating a lively chase, or quietly claiming her favorite spot beside me on the couch or bed. She has a natural fondness for children and brings a calm, loving presence to those around her.

While we had originally considered Mae as part of our future breeding plans, we made the intentional decision to retire her in 2026. As she approached maturity, it became clear that her well-being and long-term health mattered more than any breeding plans. At Promised Love, our decisions are never driven by timing or numbers, but by what is best for each individual dog.

Mae will remain unspayed as part of our commitment to thoughtfully follow emerging research on longevity and overall health, including ongoing studies such as those from UC Davis. She will continue to live a full, loved life as a cherished member of our family.

Tink

Retired 2025

Tink, also known as Tink Tink Wears Pink, boasts a beautiful, soft coat that invites you to run your fingers through it while cuddling on the couch, or to give her a gentle pat as she checks in on her human kids. She adores my young grandchildren and is always found wherever the children are, happily joining in their daily adventures.

Tink has always been deeply bonded with my daughter’s family, where she is first and foremost a beloved companion. She enjoys playing with her toys, chasing a tossed ball, and swimming alongside the kids, and she meets both people and animals with a gentle, affectionate nature.

Tink blessed us with one very special litter, where her legacy continues through both Noodles and Bee. Bee remains part of our program, and we are hopeful she will carry Tink’s line forward pending her final health clearances.

When Tink came to stay with us for her litter, it became clear just how deeply she was missed by her family—and how much she thrives in that home environment. With that in mind, we made the intentional decision to retire her in 2025 so she could remain where she is happiest, as a cherished family dog.

Keira

Retired 2024 • Living the life with us

Keira is one of Annie’s daughters and carries forward the beautiful temperament that has been such an important part of the Promised Love foundation. She has excellent hips, good elbows, and a strong, athletic build, paired with the kind, gentle nature we value so deeply in our dogs.

Keira and I share a very special bond that is difficult to put into words. She has always had an incredibly intuitive and loving personality, showing tenderness toward everyone around her. She is especially gentle with our infant and toddler grandchildren and offers quiet comfort to my brother, who uses a wheelchair, often resting her head in his lap for affection.

As a mother, Keira was exceptional. She produced beautiful puppies with the same steady, affectionate temperament that makes Golden Retrievers such wonderful companions. Playful when it’s time to have fun and calm when it’s time to relax, Keira truly embodies the balance and heart that define Promised Love.

Now happily retired, she continues to enjoy life with us as our sweet girl who doesn’t mind getting a little dirty while still looking beautiful doing it.

Gracie

Retired 2023 • Living the life with us

Gracie is one of the sweetest girls in our home and has always been known for her gentle temperament and loving nature. With her soft coat and expressive eyes, she has a quiet way of winning the hearts of everyone she meets.

As a mother, Gracie produced many wonderful puppies alongside Max, with her offspring now living in loving homes across the United States. Her puppies inherited the same kind, steady temperament that makes Golden Retrievers such exceptional companions.

Gracie also has a playful side and is well known for proudly carrying several toys in her mouth at once, often trying to gather as many as she can. Now happily retired, she spends her days enjoying life with us. Gracie continues to love her roles and back scratches in the grass.

Annie

Forever in Our Hearts

Annie was the first female of Promised Love and truly the heart of our program. For over twelve and a half wonderful years, she was my constant companion and the quiet leader of our pack. Annie had an extraordinary presence — calm, wise, and deeply intuitive — qualities that shaped the temperament of the dogs that followed her.

As a mother, Annie was exceptional. She produced beautiful offspring with sound temperaments, and many of the traits we value so deeply today can be traced back to her. Her influence lives on through her son Maverick, daughter Keira, and the generations that followed. Annie had a natural way of teaching both the young dogs and the puppies, setting boundaries and guiding them with a steady, confident presence.

If I could have cloned Annie, I would have done so a hundred times. Dogs like her are truly once in a lifetime.

Annie will always reign as the queen of our pack, lovingly remembered as “Grannie Annie,” and her legacy will forever remain a part of Promised Love.

Maverick

IABCA International Champion

Maverick is a beautifully structured Golden Retriever with an athletic build and striking presence. His balanced conformation and effortless movement make him a truly handsome boy.

One of Maverick’s most remarkable qualities is his natural retrieving ability. Whether it’s morning or night, he will happily play fetch all day and rarely tires of the game he loves so much.

He is truly one of the most athletic dogs in our home, combining strength, agility, and intelligence with a gentle, even-tempered personality. Easy to train and eager to please, Maverick brings both beauty and heart to our program.

Maverick earned his International Championship through IABCA shows, reflecting his structure and presence in the ring. More importantly, he has always embodied the qualities we value most—loyalty, drive, and a deep connection to his people.

At 11 years old, Maverick still carries the same spirit, enthusiasm, and love for life that he has always had. He remains my constant companion—my sidekick—and one of the most special dogs I’ve had the privilege to share my life with.

Tucker

AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) • AKC Community Canine (CGCA)

Tucker was one of the dogs who helped begin the journey that would eventually grow into Promised Love Goldens. With his calm demeanor and gentle spirit, he quickly proved to be an exceptional therapy dog who brought comfort and joy wherever he went.

Tucker had the kind of steady temperament that allowed him to be trusted in any situation. He was patient, reliable, and always eager to connect with people. A true gentleman, Tucker formed friendships easily and had a natural ability to make those around him feel at ease.

His loving nature and trustworthy character helped shape the foundation of the temperament we value so deeply in the dogs of Promised Love.

Max

Forever My Heart Dog

Max was a truly special dog with incredible charm and a deep eagerness to please. His temperament was calm, loyal, trusting, and highly intelligent — qualities that made him exceptional not only as a stud but as a beloved member of our family.

What made Max truly remarkable was his gentle spirit. He had an instinctive ability to sense both human emotions and the needs of the puppies he helped bring into the world. The mothers trusted him completely, often allowing him to enter the whelping box shortly after the puppies were born. His calm presence created early, positive social interaction that helped shape the confident temperaments we value so deeply today.

Max will always hold a very special place in our hearts. His legacy lives on through the generations of Promised Love Goldens that followed him.

Dugan

Retired • Companion & Foundation Dog

Dugan is a special part of our program and family, now enjoying his well-earned retirement. From an early age, he demonstrated a natural presence in the ring, earning multiple placements and recognition that reflect his structure and trainability.

He holds several early achievements, including:

  • AKC 4–6 Month Puppy First Place

  • AKC 4–6 Month Puppy Variety Group Second Place

  • AKC Puppy Best of Breed

  • IABCA Best of Breed Bred by Exhibitor

  • IABCA Reserve Best in Show Bred by Exhibitor

  • IABCA International Champion

Beyond the ring, Dugan has always been a steady, affectionate companion with a wonderful temperament. Though he passed his health clearances early on, he later developed a cataract, and out of an abundance of caution and commitment to responsible breeding, he was never used in our program.

Dugan remains an important part of our Promised Love family and represents the values we hold—placing the long-term well-being of our dogs and the breed above all else.
